Identifying Our Official Pages and Protecting the Public From Unofficial or Misleading Accounts
The Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District (SID) currently operates three official social media pages. These pages can be found on Facebook, Nextdoor, and Youtube, and the links to those pages are shown above. These are the only social media platforms we use for public communication at this time. Any page, profile, group, or account outside of these three — whether on the same platforms or on any other social media platform — is not us, is not official, and is not authorized to speak on our behalf.
We recognize that there may be independent community groups, discussion pages, or debate forums across social media where property owners or others discuss the SID. That is their right, and we respect the freedom of individuals to discuss, critique, or debate matters related to the SID and the community. However, it is important to understand that these groups speak only for themselves. They do not represent the Cherokee Village SID, and their content should not be interpreted as our views, policies, or communications.
In addition, any page or account that claims to represent the Cherokee Village SID — but is not one of our three official pages — should be regarded as unofficial, inaccurate, and potentially fraudulent. These pages do not reflect our organization, may spread misinformation, and should be ignored and not taken seriously in any way, shape, or form.
