SCAM ALERT: Fake "Cherokee District Foundation" Emails
Good morning,
We want to clarify that the phishing email currently circulating this morning with the subject line "Cherokee District Foundation Bid Proposal" is absolutely not from us. Please be assured that we are fully aware of the situation. Our team has already investigated the matter and we have successfully narrowed the issue down to the specific PC that was affected. We are actively resolving it.
In the meantime, if you receive this email, do not click any links and delete it immediately.
Email Details to Watch Out For:
Subject Line: Cherokee District Foundation Bid Proposal
From Address: cvsid.srorex@gmail.com and/or cvsidgm@gmail.com
Message Content: It asks you to click a "View Document" link to see a June bid proposal.
What You Should Do:
DO NOT click the "View Document" link.
DO NOT reply to the sender.
DELETE the email from your inbox and trash folder right away.
To safely verify any legitimate communications from us, please do not use the contact info in suspicious emails. Instead, head directly to our official "Our Email Addresses" page located at https://www.cvsid.org/legal-and-privacy/our-email-addresses/ to find our verified team directories.

CVSID Important Notice: Unauthorized Email from cvsidgm@gmail.com
Dear CVSID Property Owners,
If you have received an email from cvsidgm@gmail.com with the subject line “Proposal for new scope of work,” do not click any links or open any attachments contained in that message. Please delete it immediately. This email did not originate from our office. The particular Google account was compromised earlier this year, and any communications from that address should be considered unauthorized.
The cvsidgm@gmail.com account will no longer be used for any official communication and will be permanently deactivated once all necessary records have been secured. At the May 18th regular SID meeting, the Board will review and determine which email addresses will be designated for official use going forward and which will be discontinued. Upon completion, a verified list of approved CVSID email addresses will be published on the official website at cvsid.org.
