Cherokee Village
Golf Courses
Our Fairways. Their Legacy. Our Honor. Our Signature Retreats. Where the Game Meets the Ozarks.
Cherokee Village’s North and South golf courses offer two distinct yet equally inviting 18‑hole experiences in the heart of the Ozark foothills. Both are semi‑private layouts with lush Zoysia fairways and Bermuda‑over‑Bent greens, providing well‑maintained, scenic rounds for players of all levels. The North Course, designed by developer John Cooper in 1963, plays around 6,700 yards and feels compact and wooded, with the South Fork River threading along much of the layout; tree‑lined fairways and smaller, receptive greens reward accuracy and careful course management. In contrast, the South Course, crafted by architect Ed Ault in 1962, stretches to 7,058 yards from the back tees and is hillier, more open, and described as a “hidden diamond”‑style mountain layout that uses elevation and sand for a strategic, longer test. Together, these courses give golfers a relaxed, friendly pace of play, full practice areas, and inviting pro shops, making Cherokee Village a true golfer’s retreat.
