Email Addresses

The Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District uses its official email addresses only for district business, and any email address not published on the district’s website should be treated as unverified and potentially fraudulent. This page exists to help the public confirm legitimate contact information and reduce the risk of spam, spoofing, and phishing.

Under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, records that reflect the performance of official functions are generally public records, and electronic communications can fall within that definition when they are maintained in the scope of public business. The Arkansas Attorney General states that public records are open to inspection and copying, subject to applicable exceptions, and agencies generally have up to three business days to provide requested records.

For that reason, the district’s official email addresses should be understood as the only email channels the district recognizes for routine district communications and public business. Messages sent from other addresses, or from addresses that merely resemble the district’s name, may not be from CVSID and should not be relied upon unless they match the district’s published contact list that is shown below.

If a resident, property owner, vendor, or member of the public receives an email that appears to come from CVSID but is not listed on the website’s email page, that message should be considered suspicious until independently verified. The safest response is not to click links, open attachments, or provide personal information until the sender is confirmed through the district’s published contact information.

This approach supports both transparency and public safety. It gives the public a clear way to identify legitimate district communications while also reinforcing that Arkansas FOIA applies to official records and not to every email address someone may claim represents the district.
